Coming from a household with that many people you would never think a journey such as college would be in existence. Playing the role of the good guy to make everyone back home proud but knowing deep down your family is praying for you and depending on you. learning how to stay away from all the bad energy that college life has to bring thats what makes college students who go through these things successful. Nicholas Shell, a senior and Mass Comm major at Lane College deals with this same ordeal. Nicholas says, " having to come from a single parent home my mother pushed me to go to college and make something of myself. It feels great to be the first in my family to go to school outside Georgia."
